Over the Line
It doesn’t seem legal, it doesn’t look right
To be with you in the morning after spending the night
But you can turn the alarm off, I’ll be missing my flight
We’re over the line now, I’m taking my time, and feeling all right.
This is so unexpected, this was such a surprise
The way that you touched me, that look in your eyes
My heart wants to stay here, though it doesn’t seem wise
I need to know when I can see you again…..and a few alibis.
Are we just being crazy, have we gone quite insane?
Can we ever go back to where everything’s tame?
For the rest of our lives now, it won’t be the same
This imminent feeling has sent our heads reeling
While our hearts make their claim.
I can’t believe that I’m here now, we have broken the seal
I felt like my heart was broken apart and would never heal
I can tell by your breathing that you share how I feel
Our hearts did the calling, now our bodies are falling into something so real.
