someday, you will read this letter
and know that I loved you better
than anyone else who touched my heart
here to the end, you were there from the start
someday, in halcyon weather
skies blue, and we’ll be together
memories of all that we’ve been through
you will remember I’ve always loved you.
someday, I will understand
the beauty of the things unplanned
love’s like a feather on currents of air
blown by the wind to who knows where.
