When nobody knows, you are on your own
the scenery changes, but none of it’s home
you’re restless and churning, all of your dreams have flown
when nobody knows, you are on your own.
When nobody knows, you can hardly sleep
it’s a slippery slope, the walls are so steep,
who will ever hear you when you are in too deep,
when nobody knows, you can hardly sleep.
When nobody knows, everyday is hell,
eats from the inside, just leaving a shell,
the ringing in your ears is a tolling bell,
when nobody knows, everyday is hell.
